What is e-Visa to Azerbaijan?

eVisa to Azerbaijan was introduced in 2017 as a new online solution to make the entire visa process easier for the travellers coming from the list of eligible countries, without making them visit the Embassy in their home country to obtain a visa.

e-Visa allows short term stays and can be used, e.g., for sightseeing purposes, business purposes, medical care, but not for taking up employment or education in Azerbaijan. The purpose of the visit should be selected at the stage of visa application.
